

Train Mix Up Relay
This energetic train relay blends running, memory, and teamwork. Kids grab half a train and run to the other side to match the other train half . First team to complete all the train matches wins.
What You'll Need
Print out of different dinosaurs and cut in half (2 sets)
2 Poster Boards (to mount one half of the train)
Open play space (grass, gym floor, driveway, or playroom)
Cones or tape to mark the starting area

Set Up
Prepare the poster boards ahead of time. Attach the half trains to each board (number them for older kids)
Divide the players into two teams, giving each team the matching train halves.
Place boards about 20 feet from the starting line
Only one train piece can be carried at a time..
How to Play
Option 1: Train Mixup Relay (Best for Older Kids)
Kids must complete the train in number order
One players runs to the board, studies train number 1, runs back, finds the match, and runs back to attach it to the board.
Continue until all trains are matched in the correct order
Option 2: Train Teamwork Crossing (Best for Younger Kids)
Kids can complete trains in any order.
One player grabs a piece, runs to the board, and matches it to complete the train
Repeat until all trains are matched.
Remind them to grab just one piece at a time
