Best Large-Batch Slime Recipe for Parties

Classic School Glue Slime (Makes about 20-25 individual portions)

Ingredients:

5 cups (40 oz) white school glue (like Elmer's) • 5 cups warm water • 5 tablespoons baking soda • 10-15 tablespoons contact lens solution (must contain boric acid) • Food coloring (blue, pink, etc.) • Glitter (optional, add to base)

Instructions:

  1. Mix glue and warm water in a large bowl until combined

  2. Add baking soda and mix thoroughly

  3. Divide into separate bowls for different colors

  4. Add food coloring and glitter to each bowl

  5. Slowly add contact lens solution while stirring (slime will form quickly)

  6. Knead until it reaches desired consistency

Pre-Party Prep Tips

Make 1-2 days ahead - slime improves with resting time • Store in individual 4-6 oz containers or small mason jars • Label each color (Ocean Blue, Mermaid Pink, etc.) • Keep slightly sticky - kids will add mix-ins which can dry it out

Scaling Formula

Per child portion (4 oz): • 3 tablespoons glue • 3 tablespoons water
• 1/4 teaspoon baking soda • 1/2-3/4 teaspoon contact solution

Pro Tips

Test batch first - contact solution brands vary in strength • Have extra activator (contact solution) on hand for adjustments • Provide wet wipes - essential for cleanup! • Pre-portion mix-ins in small cups to control amounts

This recipe is fool-proof, non-toxic, and creates the perfect stretchy slime for parties!
