

How to Play
Line Up the Players
Have the children stand or sit in a line with their hands behind their backs.Choose the Royal Seeker
Select one child to be the Royal Seeker. This player steps away or turns around so they cannot see what is happening.Start the Secret Ring
Give the ring, jewel, or small treasure to one child in the line without the seeker seeing.Pass the Royal Jewel
While the seeker is turned away, the children quietly pass the ring from hand to hand behind their backs.Call the Seeker Back
After several seconds, call the Royal Seeker back to face the group.Make the Royal Guess
The seeker studies the players and chooses who they believe is hiding the ring.Reveal the Ring
If the guess is correct, the child with the ring becomes the next Royal Seeker. If the guess is wrong, the same seeker tries again in the next round.
This simple game creates lots of giggles as players try not to give away who is holding the royal treasure.
Who has the ring?
In this classic guessing game with a royal twist, children secretly pass a ring down a line while one player steps away and tries to figure out who is hiding the royal treasure. When the guesser returns, they must carefully watch the group and decide which princess or knight holds the Queen’s ring.

A ring (toy ring, costume jewelry, or plastic gem ring)

A crown for the guesser

• Use a sparkly costume ring or plastic gemstone as the Queen’s jewel
• Let the seeker wear a small crown while guessing
• Keep the ring in a velvet pouch between rounds
• Tell the children a story like:
"The Queen has lost her royal ring somewhere in the kingdom… can you discover which princess is hiding it?"
