Musical Thrones

Musical Thrones is a princess party version of the classic musical chairs game. Children walk around royal "thrones" while music plays, and when the music stops they must quickly find a seat. Each round removes one throne until the final princess claims the royal seat.

Step by Step Setup

1. Arrange the thrones- Place the chairs in a circle or back-to-back in the center of the play space.

2. Gather the players- Have the children stand around the chairs

3. Start the music-Play the music while the children walk around the thrones

4. Stop the music- When the music stops, everyone must quickly sit on a throne.

5. Remove a thrown- The player left standing is out for that round, and one throne is removed.

6. Continue the game

What You'll Need

• Chairs (one fewer than the number of players)

• Music player or phone

• Optional decorations: Chair covers or ribbons, paper crowns taped to the chairs

• Optional Tiara or Crown for the winner to be crowned.

Optional Fun:

Present the winner with a tiara or crown.
