ROYAL OBSTACLE COURSE STATION IDEAS

Royal Balance Walk

Walk heel-to-toe along a line made with painter's tape, ribbon or chalk. Princess Twist: Balance a crown, book or soft pillow on the head

Castle Stepping Stones

Use paper plates taped down,

Royal Tunnel Crawl

Crawl under a table, between dining chairs with a blanket draped over or through sofa cushions.

Magic Wand Toss

Throw rolled socks, beanbags, or soft balls into a basket, pot, or laundry basket. Challenge: Land three throws before moving on.

Curtsy & Spin Station

Perform one curtsy and one twirl before continueing through the course

Crown Carry Challenge

Carry a plastic cup, small pillor, or stuffed animal on a tray, plate or book without dropping it.

Royal Jumping squares

Use tape or chalk to create squares to hop through-two feet, one foot, hopscotch style , or tiptoes.

Dragon Dodge

Lay pool noodles, scarves or jump ropes on the ground and zig-zag through them without touching them

Princess Tiptoe Bridge

Walk slowly across a towel or taped line using tiptoes only

Tea Party Walk

Carry an empty (or lightly filled) plastic cup from start to finish without spilling. Bonus challenge: pinkies up.

Mirror, Mirror Pose Stop

Strike a royal post, hands on hips, wave, curtsy or bow.

Royal Cleanup Dash

Pick up three "lost jewels" (toys, blocks, hair clips) and place them back in basket before continuing.

Fairy Wing Flap

Flap arms like fairy wings ten times before moving on

Cinderella Clean up

Have a roll of paper towels, they have to tear off three paper towels, roll them into a ball and toss them into a laundry basket. For a little extra fun they need to say, "Whistle while you work" every time they throw the paper towel.

March proudly like you are leading a parage for ten steps. High knees encouraged

Castle Tower Build (Finish Station)

Using carboard bricks, blocks, paper towel or toilet paper rolls, stack them up to build a tower - then knock it down to complete the course. The kids love blasting through their tower at the end. If you have a stomp rocket, and room, you can have them blast a stomp rocket to finish as well.
