Quick Activity Snapshot

A magical fairy treasure is secretly hidden somewhere in your enchanted party space before guests arrive. At the start of the celebration, show the children what the treasure looks like and explain that it has been hidden somewhere in the fairy realm. Kids can search for it anytime during the party while enjoying other activities. The fairy who discovers the hidden treasure wins the prize-or keeps the treasure as a special enchanted keepsake.

What You'll Need

A small "royal treasure" or optional extras if you want multiple winners.

• Your items of choice to hide. Some ideas

  • Giant Jewels

  • Giant Pearls

  • Cupcake Princess dolls

  • Coins

  • bracelets

  • heart stones

  • mini animals

  • mini wishing stones

  • Sticky putty or adhesive but my favorite....Joe's Sticky Stuff (worth every penny for all sorts of sticking stuff, not just for the party)

Setup

• Choose the object that will be the royal treasure(s)

• Before guess arrive, hide the treasure somewhere within your chosen search area.

• Save one identical item (or photo of it) to show the children what they are searching for.

• Decide on the search boundaries, such as: one room, a section of the house, a backyard area.

Hiding Tips

Tailor the difficulty based on children's ages.

For younger kids: Hide larger objects in more obvious spots.

For older kids: Hide smaller objects in trickier places, such as:

• Under tables

• Behind decorations

• Beneath chairs or shelves (Joes Sticky stuff!)

  Kids rarely think to check upside down!

If you have a large group, hide multiple treasures so more kids get the excitement of finding one .
