How to Play

Gather all the kids and explain they are dinosaurs roaming freely
Start the music-kids stomp, run, and move like dinosaurs!
When the music suddenly stops...Everyone must FREEZE instantly like a statue (or fossil_
Anyone who moves after the freeze is:
-just gently reminded to try again (non-competitive) , OR
-"Out" for one round (competitive version)
Restart the music and repeat!

Dino Freeze Dance

Dance like dinosaurs...but freeze like fossils! When the music stops, every dino must freeze in place- or risk going extinct!

What You'll Need

• Music (fun, upbeat, bonus if it's dino themeed
• Open dancing space

Optional extras:

Dinosaur hats or tails
Drum or stomp sound effect instead of music
"Volcano roar" sound for dramatic freezes

Dino Style Calls

Stomp like a T-Rex (big steps)
"Fly like a Pterodactyl! (arms out)
Crawl like a Stegosaurus!

Volcano Mode
Instead of stopping music, yell: "VOLCANO!" Kids must freeze instantly- or get "covered in lava" (fun dramatic reaction)

Fossil Freeze Challenge
When kids freeze, they must:

Pose like a dinosaur fossil
Stay SUPER still while you "inspect the fossils"

Silly Freeze Rule:

When Frozen, make them:

Balance on one foot
Freeze mid-roar
Freeze in a silly dino pose

Long ago, in the age of dinosaurs, the ground would rumble without warning..... When the mighty volcanoes roared or a giant T-Rex stomped nearby, every dinosaur had to freeze instantly to stay safe and unseen. Today, the dinos must practice this ancient survival skill- moving freely when the land is calm, but freezing like fossils when danger strikes!
